T'Akila Jones Who is Akila Jones? A high-energy native Washingtonian, with sultry tones, lyrical honesty and soul-pumping vocals. Simply put, if Akila Jones feels it, she sings it. She currently holds a degree in Music from Indiana University, of which during her college years, in addition to many musical performances, she was a Mistress of Ceremonies for a major production “IU Sings,” spent a summer performing in the “Golden Garter Revue” at Dill’s in Traverse City, Michigan, toured the Islands singing with Ben Vereen on the Royal Caribbean cruise line, and sings the National Anthem at many sporting events. Called Jonsey by many, her voice creates vivid imagery and breathes life into words bringing forth an emotion so forceful there's no way you can hide from it. There's no pretense, it's all authentic.
