The NY Phenoms offers the excitement of a club band, the polished professionalism of society band, and the accessibility of a wedding band. Bonded by a strong collaboration of many years —  a true rarity in the world of generic, fabricated groups — the NY Phenoms love performing live music and love performing together. One of the best groups on the local NY scene, and following its recent collaboration with Washington’s Best, the NY Phenoms are now available for bookings in the Washington DC area.  

 

Danny Jimenez – Lead Male Vocalist, Acoustic Guitar, and Band Leader

Born into a musical family, Danny has always had a love for music. Starting on the drums at age 7, Danny knew he loved to perform. After years of drumming Danny joined his first band.
On one fateful and life changing night, Danny began to sing lead and realized he had to become a front man. Danny has the ability to turn any get together into an event that will be remembered. He has outstanding range and showmanship. He will get even the most reserved clients to let their hair down and become the life of the party with his charismatic and good natured personality.
Danny is easy to talk to, will accommodate any request, and will answer any concern to make your experience with him pleasant and easy. Danny also plays acoustic guitar, and will bring pleasant soft music to any cocktail hour and soft back round for any event.
Danny has sung and performed as the lead vocalist for several hundred night club engagements all over long island for a decade, hundreds of weddings, and is known in the industry to deliver everything he has and then some to make a memorable experience for you and your guest. Fronting such bands as Crashhouse, Whatever, Shadow Box, The Ring, Danny is highly seasoned and produces great results.

Erin Maya

Erin Maya is a professional performer with years of experience in many facets of the entertainment business.  Though a rock chick at heart, she takes pride in her musical versality ranging from rock, pop, r&b, rap to motown, jazz, and musical theatre.   She graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Boston Conservatory.  She has worked as the lead vocalist of various entertainment bands across the Tri-State area, and in venues such as The Bitter End, Arlene’s Grocery, 54 Below, and The Duplex.  She has also worked in showbands on Carnival Cruise Line.  In addition to this, she has performed in theatres all over NYC and the country (Signature Theatre, The Kraine Theatre, Museo del Barrio, American Repertory Theatre, The Hangar Theatre, Surflight Theatre, to name a few.)  Erin Maya is a technically-trained vocalist (voice teacher Bruce Kolb) and coaches with Dominick Amendum (“Wicked”, “First Date”, “The Heathers”), Jasper Grant (B-Sides Productions), and Jen Waldman.

Andreas Altmann- Lead Guitarist and Vocals

Andreas Altmann is a professional guitarist, composer and producer with notable credits and reviews in multiple domains. Born in Brussels, Belgium to German parents, Andy began his musical training in high school and shortly after left with only a guitar and a backpack to Hollywood, California to attend The Musicians Institute of Technology (MIT) where he studied with Jazz icons Scott Henderson, Carl Schroeder and Joe Diorio. A standout from the start, Andy received the Commercial Student of the Year Award and went on to further his studies at New School University in New York City graduating with honors from the rigorous BFA in Jazz Program. Andy’s compositions have been praised by industry professionals and in online Jazz magazines such as JazzNow.com and All Music Guide. He has writing credits with Saxophonist Chico Freeman; has shared the stage with Afro-Cuban Jazz greats, Candido, Ray Vega and Bobby Sanabria and has toured nationally with several artists including Michelangelo and Emiko. Andy is currently working as a writer with producer Matt Hudson (songwriter of Aerosmith’s hit “Living On The Edge”); producing albums for New York City talent from his studio in Times Square, NY and gearing up for a recording of his first self-composed pop-rock instrumental album which celebrates the range of the guitar.

Brendan Cummings- Bass Guitarist and Vocals

Brendan is our charming bass player who was born and raised on the Shoreline in Connecticut. He is a bass player first, singer/songwriter second and guitar player third. He started playing music professionally in bars at the age of 16 while still in High-School.
After High-School graduation, Brendan moved to Boston where he studied and graduated from the Berklee College of Music. He spent his weekdays studying every style of music he could get his hands on, but on the weekends he was out playing in rock bands at all the famous Boston/Cambridge bars and clubs.
With his degree finished, Brendan moved to Manhattan where he was a fixture on the Greenwich Village Singer/Songwriter circuit.
Over the last several years Brendan has put his focus back on his bass and has performed with many great International acts on Capstone Records, done theatre work, played in or with a ton of bands including Saucy Jack, 300 lb. Gorilla and Spunk. He also has his own recording studio and still writes and records his own music.
